Pratt, Feika Frances

I was born January 1, 1959 in Republic of Liberia. My parents are Mr. David Feika and Mrs. Hawa Pratt. I was born into a Muslim family. I am married and have six children.

At the age of nine years old I told my grandfather that I wanted to become a Christian because not all the family members should be Muslims. He accepted my request and sent me on the Catholic Mission in Sierra Leone where I spent fourteen years. After high school I enrolled in the Catholic Seminary and went as far as a junior seminarian because I really wanted to be a Roman Catholic Priest. However, it was not the will of God so I withdrew from the seminary.
When I left the seminary and came home I was still not sure of the will of God for my life. I was holding mass in my village because I wanted to do the work of God. In 1985 I was invited to attend the Vargway UPC. I continued visiting the church until 1989. In one of the Holy Ghost services I was convicted of my loss condition as a Catholic and saw reason to be re-baptized in Jesus Name. On January 1, 1990 I was baptized in Jesus Name and the same month I also received the Holy Ghost.

I have served in the following positions: Usher, Secretary and presently as Assistant Pastor. I am also the sectional evangelist for Greater Section I, UPCL.

I am a third year student of the Maranatha Bible College. I am also a trained teacher, specializing in elementary education.

Thank you for making it possible for me to be more effective in spreading the gospel message to the uttermost parts of Liberia. May God bless all of you.
