Taculad, Nestor
I am Pastor Nestor Taculad. I was born August 10, 1956 in General Santos City. My parents are Epifanio Taculad and Prudencia Acido. I took my elementary years and high school in this place. We are ten in the family and I'm the fifth child. I was baptized and enrolled Bible School in 1976-1977 in UPBI Makati, Manila. Then I pastored in Kinikis, Polomolok, South Cotabato. On 1978, I was married in Bohol to Sis. Sofia Ocho who is a great help to me in the ministry and pastor a church in Sikatuna, Bohol. With the grace of God we were able to continue ministering this church for twenty eight years. We were able to build two daughter church. Despite of the trials and storms that came our way, we overcame them through the help of God. In the year 2000, we receive a call to open a work in Alegria, Catigbian. In Alegria we held services in a house with an unbelieving husband. He got mad one time one time while we were gathering for worship and cut al the banana trees nearby. So we transferred to a mountain under a tree and cut branches to cover us from the heat of the sun. On the next Sunday, we made temporary house for worship with coconut trees. Despite of the trials and hardships, we continue with faith and assurance that God will meet our every need for a lot and church building.
